Will you join us in the 50 Churches/50 Children Campaign?

This campaign is an effort of churches telling the stories of 50 Children who are waiting for families. These are local and international children, healthy and special needs who are all hoping for a permanent loving home. Please join us in giving them a voice.

Please complete the following form and a Coalition member will contact you.

Church Commitment Form

  • Please consider the following list of “ways” your church can tell the stories of fatherless children during our “50 Churches/50 Children” initiative.

After considering this list, specify your church’s commitment in the spaces below corresponding with the dates on which you will perform these activities. Below are some suggestions of how you can participate in the Campaign. Please review the list and consider how you will tell the story of these children in your church. We invite you to be creative and only offer these activities as suggestions. Please design the program to fit your congregation, worship style and audience.

    • Post children’s stories and photos on church bulletin board.
    • Distribute copies of children’s stories and photos in church bulletin and provide time for prayer in the worship service.
    • Arrange for a five-minute presentation of a waiting child in the worship service including congregational prayer. (This can be done by you, someone in your congregation, or a Coalition Support person.)
    • Host a special Adult Sunday School Class on “God’s Heart for the Orphan” in which the stories of waiting children are told.
    • Allow an adoptive family from your church or from a participating church give their testimony in a worship service. (We have families available for this.)
    • Arrange children’s stories to be communicated in children’s Sunday School classes, Jr. Church ministry, or mid-week children’s ministry and provide instruction on how children can pray for orphans around the world.
    • Plan to preach a sermon on “God’s Heart for the Orphan.”

If you prefer, print and mail the Commitment letter and a Coalition member will contact you.
