Vision

Mid-Atlantic Orphan Care Coalition's vision is to see Christians and their churches partnering to care for children in need of families.

Mission

Our mission is to educate, equip, and encourage Christians and their churches to care for children in need of families.

Projects

  • Ambassador Program
The purpose of our Ambassador program is to connect MAOCC resources with local churches through a trained point person referred to as an ambassador. Trainings happen quarterly to orient and support prospective and current ambassadors.

  • National Foster Care Month
The purpose of our National Foster Care Month initiative is to educate churches regarding the needs of children in  foster care; equip them with the resources necessary to advocate for and serve children in care and the families caring for them; and to encourage families through trainings designed to help them take the next step in opening their hearts and homes to children in need of families.

  • National Adoption Month
The purpose of our National Adoption Month initiative is to educate churches regarding the needs of orphans; equip them with the resources necessary to advocate for orphans and the families caring for them; and encourage families through trainings designed to help them take the next step in opening their hearts and home to children in need of a family.

  • Heart Gallery
The purpose of our Heart Gallery Project is to assist the Division of Family Services by providing free, professional photography to aid in recruitment purposes for children whose goal is adoption.

  • Orphan Care 101
The purpose of Orphan Care 101 is to educate individuals, families, and churches about the need for believers to intentionally engage in caring for orphans; equip attendees with resources to help them identify ways they can engage; and encourage individuals and families to take the next step in caring for children in need of families.

Statement of Faith

  • WE BELIEVE the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

  • WE BELIEVE that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • WE BELIEVE in the deity and humanity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His present rule as Head of the Church and in His personal return in power and glory.

  • WE BELIEVE that, for the salvation of lost and sinful man, repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit and that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation.

  • WE BELIEVE in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

  • WE BELIEVE in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

  • WE BELIEVE in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, with equality across racial, gender, and class differences.
