What is National Adoption Month?

A month set aside to RAISE AWARENESS and a time to recognize that we can each play a part in enhancing the lives of children and youth who are waiting to be adopted. It is also a time to a time to acknowledge the over 100,000 American children and youth currently waiting in foster care and the family members, foster parents, volunteers, mentors, child welfare professionals, and policymakers who help them find permanent homes and connections.

We've created some resources for you to share.

SHARE them at CHURCH.

PARTNER WITH US

This National Adoption Month, we need your help at Andrew's Closet.  We're looking for some support for vulnerable children just entering foster care, and the families that are caring for them. Since early this year, we've expanded our help to include beyond the first 48 hours, helping families throughout the duration of care. We have also partnered with Care Portal and Foster Well to provide for kinship families who often need items like twin beds, dressers, and more to help provide for their family.

This month we are highlighting needs for the closet and asking for YOUR help.

Visit our baby registry to contribute to a car seat, or see our amazon wish lists for other needs you can help us fill for a child in need.

The top needs for Andrew's Closet are: twin beds (you can contribute to one on the registry, or buy it from our list), gift cards for meals and clothing, and diapers/pullups/wipes.
